Robert C. Chilton, a Winter Haven native and graduate of Winter Haven High School, joined Sharit, Bunn & Chilton, P.A. in 2004. Mr. Chilton graduated from Vanderbilt University, cum laude, in 1999 and earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2004. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005. Between college and law school Mr. Chilton worked in Washington, DC for American Management Systems and Arnold & Porter. He is “AV Rated” by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating granted by that independent publication.
Mr. Chilton’s practice focuses primarily on estate, trust and guardianship matters, civil, probate and commercial litigation, banking law and community association law (homeowners’, condominium, mobile home and cooperative associations). He represents clients throughout Florida including financial institutions, commercial entities large and small, individuals and families.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Chilton is passionate about his community. He is co-founder of the Society of the Turtle, a Winter Haven running club, and presently serves on the Tenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee and the Greater Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee. Mr. Chilton has previously served as treasurer of the Willson American Inn of Court, as a Special Magistrate for Polk County, as a board member of the Auburndale Chamber of Commerce, as a member of the Florida Bar’s Small Claims Rules Committee and as a coach with the Winter Haven Youth Soccer Association. He is currently a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven. Mr. Chilton and his family live in Auburndale.
